November Bugs and Suds Recap
Last One for 2019
We always encourage everyone to bring their fly tying supplies. Everyone has that pattern that trips them up. It might be placing the legs on a Pat’s Rubber legs or spinning deer hair. Lucky for our community there’s always someone out there that can help.
The November Bugs and Suds was our final event of the year as we don’t have one in December with everyone spending time with family. We had a great turn out with lots of knowledge spread.
Nathan and Wes battled it out to see who could tie the quickest Game Changer.
Had some salt water patterns going down as everyone has warmer weather on their minds as winter sets in.
Events like this are a great time to meet the person on Instagram you are always DMing about their trips on the water.
We threw an audible and enjoyed some pizza instead of firing up the grill. No one ever complained about spinning bugs with some Sweet Water brews and hot pizza.
Sweet Water always hooks us up.

The Alaska crew tying up some salmon flies.
This is community. This photograph is why we love running a fly shop. Many different people that may have never crossed paths now have a common thread.
The great thing about tying bugs in the shop is you can buy that one ingredient you forgot.
Nathan took some time away from his game changer to help mentor the next generation of angler.
As we mentioned in the beginning this will be the last Bugs and Suds for 2019 but don’t worry! We will be throwing a Holiday Party Dec 13th with Boulder Boat Works. Boulder Boats will be in town promoting their new skiff. Swing by the shop between 5-8 pm Dec 13th for Sweetwater brews, light snacks, and live music. Anglers can help us serve those who serve with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing donations. Donate your lightly used fly fishing gear and we’ll give you 15% OFF one full price item as a thank you for supporting your local PHWFF chapter!
